Pix from the Road

Here's the deal. I take random pictures, and offer random insights, as my alt-country group Bucktown Kickback travels and plays show dates across the United States. I make no promises that any profound insights can be gained from this log. I only promise that you may see some profoundly childish, random and possibly entertaining imagery.

Um... this is a lot of what we do too.
Driving to the gig. (Sigh).

Setting up before performing at the Fall Festival in the Valley, in Woodstock, VA. The event was a fund-raiser for a local Free Clinic, but it also focuses on bringing regional music acts into the area. It was a good cause, good food.... a beautiful day.

BTKB on stage.

Posing for photo opp as David spots the Canoe-O-Drinks (see below)

Close up of the canoe filled with drinks.

"The Sons of Bill" from Charlottesville, played after we did. They were a great group, and nice guys.

Looking around the big beautiful farm, that hosted the event.

Um, like I said... this is a lot of what we do.
Headed back home. (Sigh again).

Pix From The Road - Gauley Festival, Summersville, WV

Headed up to WV, early on Saturday.

In order to save a little cash, we opted to skip the fast-food and have bologna sandwiches. MMMMM.

The "Mechanical Bull" at Gauley Festival. I suspected that nothing good could possibly come from this being at the festival... I was right.

View from the stage at Gauley Festival. They were one hell of a crowd. Big Fun!

We stopped by some campfires, to play after the show. It was a fun and LATE evening. I lent my bass to Bob, from The Halftime String Band, who sat in for a few numbers.

Stopped by the river on the way home the next day.
