Pix from the Road

Here's the deal. I take random pictures, and offer random insights, as my alt-country group Bucktown Kickback travels and plays show dates across the United States. I make no promises that any profound insights can be gained from this log. I only promise that you may see some profoundly childish, random and possibly entertaining imagery.

The Blue Ridge BBQ Festival - Tryon, NC

The day started with two performances at the festival, and ended with a few cocktails at "Pacer's Lounge" in the Howard Johnsons in Clinton, SC. Let me just say, that Pacer's was pretty interesting. I didn't expect to see any people "grinding", when we walked into the place, but before we closed them down, we saw it.

BBQ festival was great, complete with fireworks and a good zydeco band. Fun.

Greenville, SC

Last night and this morning.
Greenville is lovely.

Hickory and Asheville, NC

Downtown Asheville.

Great exhibit at the Asheville Museum. I always make a stop there, when we are in town, if I can at all help it. This time work by Maya Lin and Laurie Anderson (one of my favs).

We happened upon a little festival in Asheville earlier in the day before our performance. Nice to have a few beers in the sun.

Sweet flyer!

The guys noted that my doppelganger is alive and well in Asheville (see background).
